The alliance will provide eScan security solution on both government and commercial product ‘Ubislate’ for Datawind.
According to CyberMedia Research’s (CMR) India Quarterly Tablet PC Market Review, the overall growth in shipments of tablets registered 159 percent year-on-year growth (compared to Q1, 2012). Indian tablet makers have shipped in over nine lakh tablet computers during the first quarter (January-March) this year. Datawind, maker of Aakash Tablets, led the market with 15.3 per cent share. Micromax and Apple had 12.3 per cent 11.7 per cent market share, respectively.
