With the changing dynamics of e-Commerce, special focus has to be given on warehouse setup. This rise in demand of 
e-Commerce warehouse is the result of growing demand of storage of goods and increasing online business. Almost 25% of India’s total demand for warehousing in 2014 was retail driven. eShopbox a fashion e-Commerce enabler, initiates a first-of-its-kind category focused warehouse facility specifically designed to store apparels, expected to be fully functional by the first week of August’15.
“Gearing up technology and storage is critical as fashion emerges as the fastest growing category in India’s booming online retail industry. This new warehouse is built keeping in mind the needs of apparels industry and It is powered by state of the art technology to automate the tasks as much as possible, thus improving the SLAs and minimising the errors. We expect to ship 2 lakh pieces on monthly basis from this warehouse during the upcoming winters” said Mayur Karwa, Co-Founder, eShopbox.
The warehouse is located near the airport at Kapashera, the new e-Commerce warehousing hub. The warehouse will be operating 24*7 with a capacity of storage for 5 lakhs apparels and can ship almost 6000-8000 orders in a day.
Special focus has been given on technology as a benefitting factor for the stored goods. “Epoxy floor coating” has been used to provide dust free storage, to maintain the cleanliness standards. A refurbishment facility has been set up inside the warehouse to process customer returns. Steam ironing and re-packing solutions are also available as a part of this facility. eShopbox team shall be able to analyse the channel flow of the customer returns and facilitate smooth functioning.
