Facebook will now allow the users to target ads in other application over smartphone or tablet computers through its “Audience Network”.
IT Voice News: Facebook has made its “Audience Network” further more interesting by allowing the users to target ads in other applications over smartphone or tablet computers. Audience Network was developed in a way to ramp up the social network platform beyond its prescribed borders.
Facebook has now made the network available to huge marketers worldwide. Facebook noted on its blog, “The Audience Network uses the same targeting and measurement features that marketers already use when advertising on Facebook,” and assured that the ads would be designed to fit seamlessly within apps.
Debra Aho Williamson, the eMarketer principal analyst told that with the expansion of the Facebook Audience Network, advertisers are getting what they had been hoping for. The ability to use rich social media user data to reach consumers not only on Facebook, but on other mobile apps and services as well.
The move would help the company to boost up its revenue generation from mobile advertising. As per the eMarketer report, Facebook generated the revenue of around 16.5 per cent out of the mobile advertising in 2013, which further went on to 20.4 per cent during this year.
