World’s largest social networking website has introduced a new Security Checkup feature to refrain hackers from breaking into accounts. The new feature enables a user to log into his or her account via a number of privacy steps. Currently, the service is only available for selected people.
The newly launched feature not only enables users to change their passwords, but also allow them to set up login alerts and clean up sessions. The login session manager further displays which computers a user’s account is logged into and it lets the user to end those sessions.
The feature may get a global release after it completes the testing phase. By drawing attention towards the security settings through a pop-up window, it is anticipated that people will be less vulnerable to hacks.
The popular social network has been continuously modifying privacy settings for the last few years as many users complained of getting unwanted attention. Additionally, some employees have also lost their jobs for posting incriminating content.
