Franchise India – Asia’s largest integrated franchise solution company brought to a close its annual Indian e-Retail Congress 2013 at The Claridges, Surajkund on 16th February 2013. This event provided a premier B2B engagement to many Indian leading Retailers and an understanding around how e-commerce is re-writing and implementing new retail practices over traditional ones. Over 50 of the industry’s most dynamic, thoughtful and inspirational speakers not only shared their valuable insights but also presented working visionary strategies to help the e-commerce industry merge with the Retail business. The second and last day of the event saw the unveiling of latest innovations that are to shape the direction of e-Retail.
The agenda of the event was categorized in three tracks: firstly, to understand the New Age consumer (The Consumer Track); secondly, what he expects from today’s Retailers (The Retailer Track) and lastly, the new order Retail distribution framework (The Operations Track) that would make it all possible. This also opened a new view for all the existing e-Retailers of the industry’s most influential business leaders and decision makers to challenge current thinking and unveil the latest innovations in the Retail industry.
The last day’s sessions threw light on the growing M in multichannel retailing with speakers like Bipin Preet Singh, Mobikwik and Atrash Aman, Homeshop 18. Puneet K Bhatia, Cisco, Reshma Nagpal, DVS and Vipin Jethi, Drishti Soft solutions spoke on the e retail technology for today and tomorrow. Kedar Gavane, Comscore, Prashant Tandon, Healthkart, Mithun Sacheti, Caratlane, Manu Jain, Jabong, Kashyap Mehta, Croma, Anisha Singh, Mydala and Vaibhav Aggarwal, Fabfurnish highlighted the leading e Retail sectors in India and where they are headed. N P Singh, Samsonite, Santosh Srivastava, Gitanjali Group, Abhay Mathur, Jockey India, Anil Verma, Delsey India, Dhruv Gupta, GKB Opticals and Shivendra Mishra, Martjack discussed how Indian retailers are gearing up for omni channel excellence while Samarjeet Singh, Iksula Services, Kashyap Vadapalli, Pepperfy, Vinay Prasanth, Amagi and Siddharth Puri, Business Head, Tyroo Direct explored how to get the marketing mix right. Nitin Gupta, PayU, Sarabjeet Khurana, Symantec and Dewang Neralla, Atom Technologies enumerated on beating efraud with the best practices for online security and Ashish Chandra, Head Legal (Media & Technology), Reliance Industries Limited wrapped up the day’s sessions with a session on Owning & Protecting Trademarks in Digital world.
