Free High-Speed Wi-Fi Service At Jaipur, Ranchi Stations Soon

Railtel in association with Google will be providing its free Wi-Fi services to four more stations in India pretty soon. These will also include Jaipur and Ranchi. In the longer run, the service will be rolled out in 400 stations all over India.

As per a senior railway official, apart from Mumbai Central, four more stations including Jaipur, Allahabad, Ranchi and Patna are going to be getting the free Wi-Fi services at its stations. Railtel will be offering the Internet services under the brand name RailWire through its vast fibre network across stations. The service is going to be there for any user who has Internet connectivity on their smartphone.

As part of railway’s vision of offering a world class high speed public Wi-Fi network at stations, over millions of passengers at 100 stations can use the facility by the end of 2016.
