All India Management Association (AIMA) conferred its AIMA-AMU PhD to Alekhya Talapatra, FTK India President. Talapatra has been awarded Doctorate of Philosophy in Retail Management. Talapatra was honored with the Doctorate Degree by Aligarh Muslim University at the 18th All India Management Association (AIMA) Convocation ceremony recently held in the capital.
The Doctorate Degree was formally handed over by honorable Chief Guest Sudhir Vasudeva, Chief Managing Director, ONGC for his professional and philanthropic contribution in Retailing.
Presently heading FTK India, one of the leading providers of vernacular solutions for mobility market, Alekhya Talapatra brings close to two decades of rich professional experience in Information Technology industry, where he has worked in executive roles in premier technology companies like Compaq, HP and Dell. He has led channel distribution, retail and corporate sales, brand marketing and also managed public sector business.
He ventured into start ups four years back in 2009. In the midst of his professional career, his penchant for academics made him complete his PhD in a diversified field of Retailing. Talapatra has also co-authored papers with Indian Institute of Management on consumer attitudes, private label strategy and growth in organized retail.
