Garmin Announces vivosmart HR Fitness Band

Garmin has launched its new activity tracker called vivosmart HR for Rs 14,999 in an exclusive partnership with Amazon India. The fitness band features an always-on, sunlight display screen with touch support.

Powered by Garmin’s Elevate wrist heart rate technology, it offers continuous heart rate monitoring. The vivosmart HR counts floors climbed, calories burned and measures activity intensity. When paired with a compatible smartphone, users can receive text, calls, email, calendar and social media alerts, control music, and more.

The wearable can be paired to smartphones via Garmin Connect Mobile app, which is available on Android and iOS. Once paired, users can receive notifications on text, calls, email, calendar and social media alerts and also control the music player. The app can be linked to a MyFitnessPal account to automatically sync calorie and nutritional information.

The company claims up to seven days battery life and is waterproof.
