As a token of appreciation for their contributions towards establishing GIGABYTE as the leading motherboard brand in India, GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd, recently entertained its committed channel partners of 2014, with a multi-country leisure tour.
Named the ‘GIGABYTE Annual Meet – Europe & Dubai 2014’, the program culminated with a gala awards-cum-entertainment nite in Dubai, wherein GIGABYTE felicitated its most result-oriented partners from across product categories and regions, with brilliant trophies.
Memorable Moments at Tourist Hotspots
The program was replete with memorable moments spent at the some of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the world. There were three groups of guests, and cumulatively the tour covered France, Netherlands, Monaco, Belgium and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The itinerary covered Nice, known for its famous beaches and historical edifices; Cannes, known as the ‘star’ of the French Riviera, and noted for its colorful casinos; Monte Carlo, reputed for its rich cultural landmarks and grand museums; the incomparable Paris, where partners enjoyed its star attractions, such as Moulin Rouge Show, Seine River Cruise, and Disneyland, among others; Amsterdam, reputed for its unique blend of historic atmosphere and modern metropolis outlook, and where the partners were also treated to Madame Tussauds; and Brussels, the center of European culture, nicknamed ‘the European Village’, and well-known for its chocolates, beers, and nightlife.
The final destination was Dubai, undoubtedly the Middle East’s vacation hot spot, where the guests experienced a guided tour to Bhurj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, among other attractions.
GIGABYTE Partner Awards and Felicitations
At the GIGABYTE gala function held at Grand Hyatt Dubai hotel, Shiva Yang, Deputy Manager at GIGABYTE Technology Co. Ltd; and Sunil Grewal, Director – Sales & MarCom, GIGABYTE Technology (India), formally felicitated the committed channel partners present on the occasion, and also presented the GIGABYTE Star Performer Awards 2014, for the most successful partnersOne of the top awardees, Sybex Marketing’s Jayeshkumar Jogatar said, “Such awards inspire partners to do more to increase the market share of the brand. Especially because this GIGABYTE award series was not sales target-based, but a gesture of appreciation for doing volume-wise business.”
At the gala function, Sunil Grewal gave a briefing on the company’s recent initiatives and plans for the future; Supriya Mankame, Product Manager, GIGABYTE Technology (India), presented the company’s product roadmap; while Shiva Yang presented the formal vote of thanks.
Partners Savour Leisure Time, Networking Opportunities
While partners admittedly had a great time enjoying the coveted tourist destinations, they felt meeting their peers from other regions across India and GIGABYTE’s senior management team in a leisure time environment, also had its advantages business-wise.
Said Dharmendra Baid of Mega Compu World, “It was a long and wonderful holiday tour, and a welcome break from our hectic routine schedules. On top of that, many of us were with our family members. Interacting freely with GIGABYTE partners from across India, and also with top GIGABYTE officials, can help in developing a strong bonding among all of us, which can ultimately result in boosting the overall business.”
Kishorbhai Kataria of Earth Syscom Pvt. Ltd., said, “We very much appreciate this wonderful holiday opportunity provided by GIGABYTE. Being among the award winners was the icing in the cake.”
Elaborated Manash Kumar Singh of Generation nXt Compmart, another top awardee, “Apart from the visiting such spectacular locations, we also got a chance to learn from experiences of the channel community from across the country, in managing business. We can surely learn from these experiences and work on our minus points.”

Giving the distributors’ viewpoint, Mangesh Kulkarni of Ingram Micro, said :”Previously, I had only met GIGABYTE Zonal Managers. During this tour I got to interact with their Area Sales Managers in an informal atmosphere. This can pave the way for better relationship and business.”

In its previous similar foreign travel initiatives, GIGABYTE had taken its performing partners for a South African holiday, which, among things, featured a visit to Table Mountain (one of the world’s New Seven Wonders of Nature), and Sun City, that country’s premier holiday resort; Malaysia-Thailand pleasure trip, which also featured a luxurious three-night stay aboard the ship, SuperStar Libra, famous for its exciting array of world-class facilities, entertainment, recreational activities and services; and a Hong Kong-Macau trip, wherein the guests were put up at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, reputed worldwide for its luxurious treats and entertainment.
