(IANS) Motherboards and graphics cards manufacturer Gigabyte on Friday launched its new AORUS gaming line of motherboards. The new motherboards support Intel’s 7th-gen and 6th-gen processors. In the Gigabyte 200 series motherboards, the Z270X-Gaming 9 is priced at Rs 61,800, the Z270X-Gaming 7 is priced at Rs 28,500 and Z270X-Gaming 5 bears a price tag of Rs 21,600.
These motherboards allow customization and personalization through unique features such as liquid cooling support, fully customizable RGB LEDs as well as new and improved smart fan controls, the company said in a statement.
Gigabyte has included integrated liquid cooling blocks on Z270X-Gaming 9 and Z270X-Gaming 8.
“We continually strive to make products that push the envelope-satisfying the consumers demand,” Henry Kao, Vice President of Gigabyte’s Motherboard Business Unit, added.
In related news, Supermicro recently made its debut in the gaming motherboard market.
Supero, a by-product of the US-based server vendor Supermicro, is expected to compete against other established players in the market. Its new motherboards are likely to be showcased at the ongoing CES 2017.
According to a report on DigiTimes website, Supermicro, which has been selling high-end motherboards until now, will also be launching mid-range models and desktops at a later stage.
The company currently has two teams, one each in the US and Taiwan, and is now looking to expand on its team in the far East as well.
