Appreciating their contributions towards the growth of the GIGABYTE brand in India, GIGABYTE Technology (India) Pvt. Ltd, a leading manufacturer of motherboards, recently treated its top performing channel partners of the Financial Year 2012-13, to a South African pleasure trip.
Named GIGABYTE Lions – South Africa, Annual Meet 2013, the event also witnessed a gala dinner-cum-awards evening wherein GIGABYTE felicitated its most result-oriented partners from across regions and product categories, with magnificent trophies.
The star attractions of the fun excursion, organized between November 22 and 26, 2013, included visits to the Table Mountain (one of the world’s New Seven Wonders of Nature), which gives spectacular, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Cape Town, one of the world’s most attractive cities; Sun City, the South Africa’s premier holiday resort, offering a wide range of entertainment and relaxation opportunities; and a wild animal safari across the legendary Pilanesberg Game Reserve; among others.
The program also offered partners luxurious stays at The Palace of the Lost City, styled in the ancient African architectural features and colors, in Sun City; and Southern Sun Cape Sun, situated at the heart of the Cape Town business district.
GIGABYTE Partners – Awards and Felicitations
At the GIGABYTE gala event held at Southern Sun Cape Sun, Shiva Young, Deputy Manager at GIGABYTE Technology Co. Ltd; and Sunil Grewal, Director – Sales, GIGABYTE Technology (India), formally felicitated all the committed channel partners present on the occasion, and also gave away the GIGABYTE Star Performer Awards – 2012-13, for the most successful partners.

At the gala evening, Sunil Grewal shared an insight into the company’s recent initiatives and plans for the future; Supriya Mankame, Product Manager, GIGABYTE Technology (India), presented the company’s current product roadmap; while Shiva Yang delivered the formal vote of thanks.
Partners Relish Leisure, Networking Opportunities
The partners were united in making the most of the leisure and networking opportunity. Speaking on their behalf, Sumit Lundia, Director of Kolkata-based GIGABYTE Premium Partner, Starcomp Infotech, said, “In addition to enjoyment, the trip also gave us an excellent opportunity to see how partners from other regions are faring. We got to share ideas with other partners on how we can improve business. Usually, we are too busy with our regional markets.
Added Lundia, “We also could meet the management team from GIGABYTE and leading distributors. Personal meetings go a long way in making future interactions and doing business with them smoother.” Seconding his views, Dinesh Kumar Jain of Chennai-based Vajawat Computers, said, “The trip was truly enjoyable, especially because we had a great time with other GIGABYTE Partners, helping us build good relationships with them. Felt like being a part of the GIGABYTE family.”
The partners also felt that such trips were useful for improving business. According to Siddharth Vyas, Director, Tapeshwari Computers, “The South African excursion was truly enjoyable, providing a rejuvenating experience that will hold us in good stead while returning to our routine business activities.”
Summing up the partner experiences, Himanshu Jogatar of Mumbai-based Sybex Marketing (winner of two awards, namely, The GIGABYTE Lion Award for All-round, All-India Performance; and Award for Excellence – Intel Platform), said, “Channel partners need an occasional leisure break from their consistent business dealings and activities, to get refreshed and charged up when they return. The GIGABYTE trip had all the ingredients of a world-class leisure break, and I am sure all the partners were really satisfied. In its previous similar foreign travel programs, GIGABYTE had taken its performing partners for a Malaysia-Thailand pleasure trip, which also featured a luxurious three-night stay aboard the ship, SuperStar Libra, famous for its exciting array of world-class facilities, entertainment, recreational activities and services; and a Hong Kong-Macau trip, wherein the guests were put up at The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel, reputed worldwide for its luxurious treats and entertainment.
