Apple has announced the winners of its WWDC23 Swift Student Challenge, and one of them is Asmi Jain, a 20-year-old student from Indore, India. Jain impressed the company with her original app created using the Swift coding language.
The competition showcased the talents of young developers from more than 30 countries and regions, with a wide range of app playgrounds covering various topics such as healthcare, sports, entertainment, and the environment.

Jain’s winning playground was inspired by a personal experience. After learning about her friend’s uncle who had undergone brain surgery and was left with eye misalignment and facial paralysis, Jain took the initiative to create an app that tracks a user’s eye movements as they attempt to follow a ball moving on the screen.
