Goodbox, a Mega App that enables customers to buy from multiple shops on one app, has introduced UPI payments to 1000s of local shops that include supermarkets, restaurants, meat shops, laundry shops etc, among 100s of other business categories. They now have a technology facelift on their Mini App on the Goodbox Mega App. Customers can transfer funds directly from their account instead of blocking money in wallets. UPI is aimed at enabling consumers to instantly transfer money in real-time and do away with the long-drawn process of making peer-to-peer or peer-to-merchant online payments. Customers just have to create a VPA (virtual payment address) that masks their account details. They can transfer funds from their account to any other account by just using the recipient’s VPA. This payment mechanism enjoys a high level of security.
