Carrier Billing System will allow you to make the payment for paid-apps via monthly operator bill.
ITVoice News: Google and Airtel have entered into planning for bringing carrier billing support in Google Play. According to the recent report in ET, Google is in talks with Airtel for developing a platform for the Android users, through which the payment for the apps and other content in Google Play could be included in their monthly bill instead of making the payment using credit cards.
This move would encourage the rise in number of paid applications in the country. Reports reveal that both the companies are currently believed to be stuck with the revenue sharing specifics, wherein Google is asking for 90 per cent of the sales made.
It is not the first time when operator billing concept of Google made the news. Earlier as well, we heard about Uninor Telecom Company having similar plans about launching Google Play carrier billing. Hence we cannot yet be sure about the successful partnership dealing. Currently there are 26 countries engaged in Google Play direct operator billing system via 51 telecom operators.
