November 26, 2015 News 1 min read Google Announces Offline Maps & Directions The offline version would allow users to access directions while passing through regions with spotty internet. Earlier in May, Google previewed the functionality for offline Maps at developer conference I/O. The company has started offering the service to users in India. This is not the first Google product to gain offline functionality. Last year, the company begun providing users the ability to watch videos on its YouTube app even when they were not online.
