Google is extending the availability of Circle to Search to additional Pixel devices

Google is expanding its innovative Circle to Search feature to include the Pixel 7 series with the latest March Feature Drop. This functionality, which enables users to conduct web searches simply by circling an image or text on their screens, was initially introduced as an exclusive feature for the Galaxy S24. Now, Google is gradually introducing it to its own lineup of Pixel smartphones. The Circle to Search feature is currently accessible to users of the Pixel 8 and the Pixel 7 series, allowing them to perform reverse searches on the web by circling around specific images or text.

With the latest software update, Pixel 7 series smartphone users can now enjoy the Circle to Search capability as part of the March Feature Drop. However, it’s worth noting that this feature will not be available on the Pixel Fold or the budget-friendly Pixel 7a, both of which are equipped with the same Tensor G2 processor found in the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 Pro.

To make use of Circle to Search, Pixel 7 series owners must ensure they have installed the latest software update and the Google app. Once updated, users can access this feature by long-pressing on the home button or gesture button and then marking or highlighting the specific area of the screen they wish to search. Circle to Search results will include similar products from the web, and it can also provide additional information about specific locations or topics.

While Circle to Search is currently limited to a select few Pixel smartphones and the Galaxy S24 series, it is anticipated that this feature will soon be extended to other devices in Samsung’s lineup, such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets.

In summary, Google’s Circle to Search feature is making web searches more intuitive and accessible for Pixel 7 series users with the latest software update. By simply circling an image or text on their screens, users can quickly gather information and explore relevant content without the need for traditional keyword-based searches. As this feature continues to expand to more devices, it promises to enhance the overall user experience and streamline the process of accessing information on the web.
