Google seems to be working on a multi-window feature
As per the recent reports, Google seems to be working on a multi-window feature, purportedly a split screen mode, which will allow the users to work on two apps side-by-side. Android Police claims that they have seen the demonstration of this new feature on a 4:3 Android device, but the feature is expected to support all Android devices.
Android Police has even published a few screenshot-mockups to give an overview of the new feature. As far as it is shown in the picture, the screen would by default split in two halves from center, but user will be able to drag the apps either left or right, to resize the page.
Samsung was the first company to introduce a multi-window feature on its smartphones, followed by LG through its own UI, but they weren’t really proved to be easy experience. Google is believed to have experimented this towards the end of last year, but there were no words up on the launch of the split-screen feature. It might even arrive with Android L update!
