The Pixel 8 series, which will serve as the successor to the Google Pixel 7 lineup, is anticipated to consist of a base model and a Pro model. Recent leaks have revealed key specifications of the Pixel 8 Pro, the successor to the Pixel 7 Pro released in October 2022. According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the Pixel 8 Pro is likely to sport a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and is expected to run on Android 14 out-of-the-box.
Under the hood, the Pixel 8 Pro is rumored to be powered by an in-house Tensor G3 SoC paired with a Titan chip and 12GB of RAM. The phone is expected to be available in storage options of 128GB and 256GB. In terms of camera capabilities, the triple rear camera setup is speculated to include a 50-megapixel primary sensor with OIS, a 64-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 48-megapixel sensor with a telephoto lens. The front camera is expected to feature an 11-megapixel sensor.
In addition to the impressive battery and camera specs, the Pixel 8 Pro might come equipped with a temperature sensor that can function as a contactless thermometer, as well as an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
