GoPro Hero Gets 4K 4:3 Update and Price Cut in India

GoPro has released a major update for its entry-level Hero action camera, introducing 4K recording in a 4:3 aspect ratio. This upgrade enhances the camera’s ability to capture immersive first-person perspectives, taller social media-friendly videos, and engaging selfies. The update is now available via the GoPro Quik app on both iOS and Android.

Enhanced Features for Content Creators

The GoPro Hero now supports Ultra HD 4K and HD 1080p video recording, along with 12MP still photography. Users can also enjoy a 2x slow-motion mode and HyperSmooth stabilization, ensuring shake-free, high-quality footage. The camera remains waterproof up to 5 meters and features an intuitive touchscreen interface for easy navigation.

Price Drop in India

Alongside the software update, GoPro has reduced the price of the Hero camera in India to ₹19,990, down from its launch price of ₹23,990. The lightweight and rugged camera, weighing just 86g, is now available on Flipkart, making it more accessible to a wider audience.

Improved Battery Life for Longer Recording

The GoPro Hero offers over an hour of continuous 4K recording on a single charge, catering to adventure enthusiasts and content creators who need reliable performance on the go.

With this update and price cut, GoPro aims to make its Hero camera a more attractive option for travel vloggers, social media creators, and action sports enthusiasts, reinforcing its position as a leading brand in the action camera market.
