GoPro, the US-based company that is known for its action cameras, has launched a new waterproof voice-activated remote. Called GoPro Remo, the device comes as a much simple alternative to situations where users need to shout at their GoPro Hero 5 cameras to record videos or use the GoPro smartphone app.
The GoPro Remo is priced at $79.99 and is compatible with GoPro Hero 5 Black and Hero 5 Session cameras. There is no India price and availability details mentioned for the wireless voice controller yet. However, we assume that the remote too will hit the Indian shelves soon as GoPro already sells its Hero 5 action cameras in the country.
Users can clip the GoPro Remo to their clothes or use it as a wrist gear. The device is also said to make it easier to give voice commands to Hero 5 cameras in windy and noisy environments. The Remo can also be used as a one-button remote from up to 33feet or 10metres away.
With GoPro Remo you can give 13 types of voice commands in 10 different languages. The device is waterproof up to 16 feet or 5 metres underwater.
GoPro launched its newest action cameras, the Hero 5 Black and the Hero 5 Session in September this year. The Hero 5 is priced at Rs 38,000 in India. Both support voice commands and can shoot images in 4K resolution and 12MP. The camera also feature touch-screen functionality for easy navigation.
Hero 5 sports a durable rugged design and has a simple one-button shutter. It can also automatically upload photos and videos directly to the cloud for easy viewing, editing and sharing on the go.
