Hanooman, a Multilingual GenAI Platform, Debuts in India

Hanooman, a multilingual GenAI platform, has been introduced in India by 3AI Holding Limited and SML India. This homegrown platform aims to establish a Generative AI ecosystem in India by harnessing the nation’s rich linguistic and cultural diversity, offering support for 98 global languages, including 12 Indian languages.

Developed by SML India in collaboration with 3AI Holding, the platform has ambitious targets, aiming to reach 200 million users within its first year of launch. Among the 12 Indian languages currently available on the platform, users can find Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Kannada, Odia, Punjabi, Assamese, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Sindhi. Additionally, Hanooman extends support to various global languages such as English, Italian, Spanish, Korean, German, Japanese, and 80 others from around the world.

In conjunction with its launch, SML India has forged partnerships with prominent technology firms like HP, NASSCOM, and Yotta. Through its collaboration with NASSCOM, the company intends to contribute to various initiatives, including supporting AI startups, engaging with 3,000 colleges, fostering fintech innovation, and participating in research programs. Yotta will provide FPU cloud infrastructure to enhance the operational capabilities of the platform.

Furthermore, Hanooman has teamed up with the Government of Telangana and the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances to facilitate seamless translations between English and Telugu. This initiative aims to improve accessibility and comprehension of critical documents such as court orders.

Vishnu Vardhan, Co-Founder & CEO of SML India, expressed his enthusiasm about Hanooman’s launch, describing it as a significant milestone in AI innovation within India. He emphasized the platform’s potential to impact the lives of 200 million users within its inaugural year. With approximately 80% of the Indian population unable to use English proficiently, Hanooman’s support for Indian languages is poised to democratize access to Gen AI technologies, unlocking vast opportunities for companies and startups introducing Gen AI products to the market.
