Here is some great news for Gmail users, who find it painful to search for the ‘Unsubscribe’ button in series letters and spam emails. A new announcement has been made by Google that an easy unsubscribe button has been added for Gmail messages.
From now onwards an email will be parsed through by Gmail for an unsubscribe link and it can be found next to the sender’s address at the top. As soon as someone clicks on the unsubscribe link it takes that person to the same place, but no further scrolling through other emails is required now.
Google’s statement on the Gmail Google+ page says, “If you’re interested in the message’s content, it won’t get in the way, and if not, it’ll make it easier to keep your inbox clutter-free.” This addition is not applicable in case of legal spam as it will not have any unsubscribe link with it. This link will be found only in those messages which are meant for Promotions, Social or Forums messages.
Google’s recent step will make one’s Gmail journey smoother for sure. As posted by Google, “Making the unsubscribe option easy to find is a win for everyone.” The internet giant adds further, “For email senders, their mail is less likely to be marked as spam and for you, you can now say goodbye to sifting through an entire message for that one pesky link.”
