Honor launches its affordable Earbuds 3i with active noise cancellation

Today’s major Honor event featured the release of high-end smartphones and foldable flagships, which were joined on stage by a brand-new set of audio wearables. The Honor Earbuds 3i, which cost the equivalent of $70, have ANC, AI noise reduction, and a large battery.

The well-made casing of the new Earbuds 3i conceals a 10 mm powerful driver. The Honor CEO frequently used the phrase “pebble look” during the event, and it is easy to understand why he was so enthusiastic about the style given that White is the only colour available for the earbuds. Each bud has three microphones, and the stem has a tiny touch sensor for gesture controls as well. Additionally, the earbuds have a sensor for wear monitoring and a low-latency mode for gaming, which naturally depletes the battery faster.

Each bud contains a 55 mAh battery, while the cover contains a 410 mAh battery. If the ANC is disabled, Honor claims that the battery life can last for 10 hours on a single charge. Only over the wire using a USB-C connector, charging is said to take roughly 60 minutes to get from 0% to 100%. Honor claims a maximum battery life of 32 hours with the charging case (410mAh battery) by switching off ANC. Whereas, with ANC enabled, the battery life drops to 24 hours.

While Honor smartphones offer rapid pairing and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, users can download the Honor Smart Space app for access to all functionalities. Pre-orders for the Honor Earbuds 3i are presently being accepted at the Chinese corporate store. The initial sale is slated for December 2 for CNY499 ($70/€67).
