HP Stream 8 tablet was launched in the U.S. last September. Now the tablet has been launched in the Indian market at the price of Rs 16,990. HP Stream 8 tablet runs on Windows 8.1 out-of-the-box.
The tablet sports 20.32-cm (8-inch) HD IPS display with 1280×800 pixels resolution and it’s powered by 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor and 1GB DDR3 RAM. The tablet also packs 32GB internal storage which can be expanded to more 32GB via a microSD card. Other features of the tablet include 5MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter.
On the connectivity front, the tablet has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS and microUSB. The tablet also supports sensors like accelerometer, G-sensor, GPS and SAR. It’s powered by a 4000mAh battery. HP Stream 8 is a single SIM (micro SIM) device. The tablet has gone for sale at the company’s official store without any formal announcement.
The tablet was unveiled with a 17.78-cm (7-inch) variant, which was named HP Stream 7. The PC giant’s Stream family of devices has added two new HP Stream laptops too – HP Stream 11 and HP Stream 13.
