HP has updated its Envy series of desktop and laptop computers 
with improved specifications and cosmetic changes. In addition, the company has also launched a refreshed Spectre x360 laptop.
The new HP Spectre x360 laptop is 13.8mm thick, as compared to the 15.9mm thick older variant. Weighing 1.29kg, it comes with a 13.3-inch edge-to-edge Full HD display.
As for the battery, the new Spectre x360 has a 57.8Wh battery which is claimed to have a backup of about 15 hours. There is an edge-to-edge keyboard with 1.3mm key travel and a wider touchpad. Other key features include four front-facing speakers, USB 3.1 Type-C ports and up to 1TB of SSD storage.
The base model includes comes with a 7th gen (Kabylake) Intel Core-i5 CPU with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of SSD storage. It’s priced at $1049 and can be purchased from HP online stores in the US.
The newly launched HP Envy 13 gets the same 57.8Wh battery, which is said to deliver up to 14 hours of running time, 4 hours more over its previous variant. It comes in Full HD and Quad HD resolution displays and has front-facing speakers too.
Under-the-hood, HP Envy 13 has a 7th gen Intel Kaby Lake CPU 
with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. There is also a USB 3.1 Type-C port, along with regular USB 3.0 ports.
HP Envy 13’s base model costs $849 and includes a 7th gen Core-i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD and a 13.3-inch Full HD display. It will be available in different configurations in the US, starting October 26.
The upgraded HP Envy 27 All-in-one has a completely new design, as compared to its predecessor. The display is now thinner and comes with a new processing mechanism. Other components have been placed inside the base, instead of being put at the back of the display.
The display of the AIO comes in Quad HD resolution and is claimed to be more vibrant. There is also a Blue Light filter for reducing eye strain. As in the aforementioned laptops, Envy 27 All-in-one features front-firing speakers (powered by Bang and Olufsen) placed in the base. There’s a sound control dial at the base as well.
Powered by an Intel 6th-gen processor with 16GB RAM and GeForce GTX 950M GPU, it comes with 128GB SSD and 1TB SATA hard drive storage. The AIO will be available starting October 16 at $1,599. There will also be other variants priced at $1,249 and a $1,699, available starting November 2 and October 12 respectively.
Lastly, HP has upgraded its Envy monitor. Unlike its predecessor, the new monitor ditches the side speakers from the and has thinner bezels. The 27-inch monitor has 4K resolution and also supports AMD’s FreeSync technology. It can be used as a secondary display. The display will be available at $499 starting December 4.
