All this while, when the rumour mill churned out leaks for the anticipated HTC One E9, HTC in China quietly listed the One E9+ on its website without any price or availability details. So far, no listing of the HTC One E9 has appeared.

The official HTC China listing of the One E9+ was first spotted by Engadget China on Sunday. Notably, some details vary on the page itself (such as a 20-megapixel rear camera listing on the feature page, and 13-megapixel on the specifications page), prompting speculation that HTC’s current specifications page for the One E9+ is actually meant for the lesser One E9 sibling.

As per the listing, the HTC One E9+ is a dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) smartphone which runs the ‘latest Android OS with HTC Sense out-of-the-box’, tipping Android 5.0 Lollipop with Sense 7 UI.

The HTC One E9+ features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display, though once again, with all the previous leaks, it is expected the One E9+ bears a QHD display (taking the pixel density up to 534ppi) while the One E9 will sport the full-HD display. The smartphone packs a 64-bit octa-core 2.0GHz MediaTek MT6795M processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. 3GB of RAM is however expected to be announced for the E9+, and the former for the One E9.

The HTC One E9+ is listed to sport a 13-megapixel (f/2.2) rear autofocus camera with LED flash and a front UltraPixel (f/2.0) camera with a BSI sensor that’s presumably a 4-megapixel offering. The 16GB internal storage on the handset is listed to get expanded by microSD card (up to 128GB). Connectivity options on the One E9+ include 4G (FDD and TD-LTE), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ A-GPS and NFC. The device measures 156.5×76.5×7.49mm, weighs 150 grams, and sports a 2800mAh battery. It also features stereo front-facing BoomSound speakers.

On Friday, the tipster @upleaks had also published the press render images of the One E9+, which match those on the HTC China site, followed by press images of the One E9 on Sunday, which visibly feature a smaller rear camera lens.

Last week, the company began sending out invites for an event on April 8. The event invite features the tagline ‘More than One’, and show the back of smartphone with a brushed metal dual-tone build and a duo-camera setup that bears a massive primary lens below the smaller depth-sensing lens. The expected launches on April 8 with the fresh leaks now include One E9+ along with the One M9 Plus and One E9.
