HTC One M9 Has Finally Arrived

Although MWC has been bustling with activities, the HTC and the Samsung maxresdefaultlaunch seems to have achieved a greater degree of precedence over the others. HTC has been teasing the One (M9) for the past few weeks.

HTC One M9, as expected, features a uni-body metal design, which was earlier seen in One M7 and M8. However, this time the company has included dual-tone colour scheme and has made the exterior slightly refined. The HTC One M9 features a 12.7-cm (5-inch) full HD Super LCD 3 display and runs on a 64-bit 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. The smartphone has a 20MP image sensor on the back with BSI and dual-LED flash and an Ultrapixel camera on the front. HTC has included 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

According to a company press statement, Cher Wang, chairwoman, HTC, said, “HTC has built its reputation on challenging expectations in the mobile industry. The HTC One M9 accomplishes this once again with stunning elegance and design, combined with smart features that help bring your world to life, connecting you in a deeper way to the things you consider most important. So much more than just a phone, the HTC One M9 is an extension of who you are.”

HTC One M9 sports Android 5.0 with new Sense 7.0 UI. With Sense 7.0. HTC is offering an all new software experience for its users, which includes features like the HTC Themes app that can change the look and feel of the smartphone with a photograph. The app works in the way that it picks up colours from the photo and applies them to the theme created by you with a wallpaper, icons, and more. HTC has also introduced HTC Connect with One M9, that allows users to connect the smartphone to to compatible TVs or speakers with just a three-finger swipe.

According to HTC, “Smartphones are fast becoming the central hub for home entertainment and HTC Connect makes it easy to enjoy your multimedia experience beyond your phone. A three-finger swipe on the screen connects the phone to compatible TVs or external speakers from leading manufacturers including Harman Kardon. HTC Connect’s integration with Qualcomm AllPlay smart media platform and Blackfire Research wireless media technology, allows you and your friends to stream high quality content from your smartphones to multiple home entertainment devices around the house.”

The HTC One M9 also features BoomSound speakers with 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound, 2,840mAh battery and the usual connectivity options including 4G LTE.HTC One M9 will be available in the Asia-Pacific region in mid-March in Grey, Silver, Pink and Gold.
