HTC U 11 to be launched in India on June 16

HTC much-awaited flagship smartphone – U 11 – will finally be launched in India on June 16. The company has sent out media invites for the launch event, detailing everything from the date and time to the venue.
The HTC U 11 will be launched in India exactly one month after its global launch (May 16).
For a recap, the U 11 comes with unique ‘squeezable’ bezels. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD display of 1440×2560 pixel resolution (2560×1440 pixels), secured with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. HTC claims that the screen can be used even when wearing gloves.
Speaking about the smartphone’s USP – ‘squeezable’ bezels – they are equipped with eight sensors that are integrated with the Edge Sense feature. These sensors allow users to press on the smartphone’s frame to perform actions such as launching different apps and changing volume.
Much like the U Ultra, HTC U 11 has a ‘Liquid Surface’ design that adds a mirror-like reflection to the surface.
The U 11 runs Android 7.1 Nougat OS, skinned with the company’s own Edge Sense user interface and comes with dual digital assistants – Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Apart from these two, there is also HTC’s own Sense Companion app that observes the user’s activities to provide customized updates.
