HTC U11+, U11 Life smartphones with Edge Sense launched

Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has launched its latest smartphones under the U series. The company has launched HTC U11+ and U11 Life. The company has priced the HTC U11+ at EUR 799, while the HTC U11 Life comes with a price tag of $349.

The HTC U11+ smartphone comes with a 6-inch Quad HD+ display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and is powered by a 2.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The smartphone comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant for Europe. In other markets the company will introduce 4GB RAM and 64GB variant.

The HTC U11+ features a 12MP UltraPixel camera with f/1.7 aperture, BSI sensor, OIS and dual LED flash. There’s also an 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture and BSI sensor. The smartphone is also capable of recording 4K videos. The device houses a 3930mAh battery and comes with QuickCharge 3.0 support. In terms of connectivity, it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, USB Type C and Miracast.

Measuring 158.5×74.9×8.5mm, the smartphone also comes with HTC BoomSound and HTC USonic earbuds for enhanced audio experience. The smartphone will also come with both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. Apart from these two, it will also have its own Sense companion like the HTC U11. The smartphone comes with IP68 rating which makes it dust and water resistant. The device will be available in Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver, and Translucent Black colour options.

The HTC U11 Life is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor and runs Android Nougat with HTC Sense. The company announced that the Android One model will come with stock Android 8.0 Oreo. The smartphone features a 5.2-inch full HD Super LCD display with 1080×1920 pixel resolution. The display is made scratch resistant with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass.
The smartphone comes with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. The users can expand the storage up to 2TB via microSD card. The device boasts a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and BSI sensor. The front houses a 16MP selfie camera. The smartphone comes with IP67 rating and 2600mAH battery with QuickCharge 3.0 support.
