A video clip-making application will roll out soon from HTC, named HTC Zoe. This application will run on non-HTC Android smartphones. Reports say that this application’s beta version will be available in the Google play store from this week onwards and a limited number of video-editing tools will be provided.
This Zoe application allows users to amass maximum 16 video clips, still pictures and add theme as well as music to create a reel video of maximum 30 seconds. Comments can also be added by the user in this feature. Another HTC application is in the pipeline too for other Android smartphones and HTC Creative Labs is working on it now. No further details have been provided yet by the labs but this new app is believed to BlinkFeed, an aggregator of news and social media.
Of late HTC is seriously fighting beside Samsung and Apple. While hardware is getting improved in HTC smartphones, applications are also getting an extensive focus from the developers. A wide range of applications is offered by Samsung for its devices and HTC needs to work hard to come at a par. Apart from HTC and Samsung, Sony is also focusing on developing applications and they recently launched Lifelog and smartband fitness applications for non-Sony Android smartphones.
The Zoe application is still not popular like YouTube but as it will be available on non-HTC phones, its popularity meter will increase thoroughly. This application competes with the likes of Instagram and Vine.
