Huawei’s Mate 9 smartphone is getting a new colour: Obsidian Black. Other than the new colour, the variant is similar to all the other existing models available. Launched in November 2016, Huawei Mate 9 comes with a 5.9-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The smartphone is powered by company’s own 1.8GHz octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card and and 4GB of RAM. As far as cameras are concerned, Huawei Mate 9 offers 20-megapixel primary camera and a 8-megapixel front shooter.
The dual-SIM Mate 9 runs on Android 7.0 operating system and has 4000mAh battery. Connectivity options of the smartphone include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India).
The Chinese smartphone maker Huawei also launched a Porsche Design variant of Mate 9. The limited edition smartphone comes in Graphite Black colour. The smartphone will go on sale in January at Porsche Design Stores and at select Huawei retail stores in Asia, Middle East and Europe.
