According to ToI report, The company is eyeing to join a growing list of major Chinese makers who are trying to capture their share in the the fastest growing Indian mobile handset market. Chinese mobile manufacturers like Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are already banking on the Indian market for the next phase of growth, as the country looks set to overtake the US and emerge as the second-biggest smartphone market. Many multinational companies are coming to India after the government last year had announced tax benefit of nearly 12 per cent to those making locally and this has prompted them to ‘Make in India.’ The Chinese company is in talks with Reliance Jio and Airtel to boost sales of `Honor’ brand, which was originally started as an online division but is step-by-step being pushed through the offline channels as well. The company sold around one million devices in India in 2015 and it is eyeing for a bigger market share in the coming years.
