iBall has launched the successor to the popular Aasaan feature phone for senior citizens, dubbed Aasaan2, at Rs. 2,990.
The iBall Aasaan2 features a keypad with large buttons. It comes with 1.77-inch display and equips an LED torch with dedicated side button. The iBall Aasaan2 is a dual-SIM phone with support for dual standby. The phone comes with wireless FM radio with dedicated side button and a digital camera (unspecified megapixels).
The iBall Aasaan2 can store up to 500 contacts in its phonebook, and up to 100 messages in its inbox. iBall has also included expandable storage to the iBall Aasaan2 – it can store up to 8GB via microSD card. The phone packs a 1000mAh battery. The iBall Aasaan2 comes with dual language support of English and Hindi. It also features a volume rocker.
Notably, the Aasaan2 has been equipped with a ‘SOS’ button. The special SOS button is at the back of the phone, and according to the company, can be used to automatically connect with an emergency phone number previously selected. In addition, within seven seconds of pressing the ‘SOS’ button, the iBall Aasaan2 emanates loud sound/siren to work as an panic alert, if something is wrong. It can also send out ‘SOS’ text messages to five contact numbers, sequentially calling them till a number is answered.

We are sure these will further be useful to the elderly.”
