iBall has launched the Andi4P IPS Gem smartphone in India, and appears set to do the same for the Andi4 Arc. Both the handsets are now listed on the company’s website, but there is no official word on availability as yet.
The iBall Andi4P IPS Gem has been priced at Rs. 6,499, while there is no pricingrevealed for the iBall Andi4 Arc.
Both the dual-SIM based Andi4 Arc and Andi4P IPS Gem feature a 4-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) IPS display, offering a pixel density of 233ppi. The iBall Andi4 Arc runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box, while the Andi4P IPS Gem runs the dated Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat.
The Andi4 Arc is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 processor and 256MB of RAM. The smartphone sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The built-in storage on the handset is 2GB, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).
Connectivity options on the iBall Andi4 Arc include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio and 3G network support. The smartphone comes with an ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and proximity sensor. A 1300mAh battery backs the device.
The iBall Andi4P IPS Gem, on the other hand, is an upgraded variant of the Andi4 IPS Gem launched back in May.
A dual-core (unspecified chipset) Cortex A7 processor powers the Andi4P IPS Gem, clocked at 1.3GHz, along with 1GB of RAM. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a 0.3 megapixel front camera as well.
The Andi4P IPS Gem comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage, and can be expanded via microSD card (up to an additional 32GB). Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB, GPS/A-GPS, EDGE/GPRS and 3G support. The iBall Andi4P IPS Gem is backed by a 1300mAh battery with no word on talk time and standby time.
