Samsung and Apple are not the leaders in the Indian tablet market anymore, courtesy iBall Slide tablet
A press release has been issue by tablet maker iBall that the company has achieved the top position in tablet markets for the time period of April-July 2014. iBall is followed by other important players like Samsung and Apple.
As claimed by the company, “iBall has gained market share of 17.1 per cent, beating Samsung with 15.5 per cent and Apple with 11.5 per cent.” The release reveals that the company’s turnover is Rs 9,000 million during FY 13-14. iBall director Sandeep Parasrampuria said, “From the time we launched iBall Tablet PCs, we were always eyeing market leadership, just like we are leaders in many computer peripherals and digital life-style products like Cabinets, Mouse, Web Cameras and Speakers.”
Throughout the last decade iBall has expanded its business and they have been promoting new products in many categories. iBall Slide reached over 800 towns through 650 direct channel partners and 3200 indirect channel partners. Moreover this tablet is also used in the corporate sector too, thanks to its excellent features and impressive performance.
