ICANN 64 | Day 5 – UASG Community Forum

The UASG community Forum session held on 13th March at ICANN 64 was among the main attractions of the global meet. UASG essentially works towards the construction of a truly multilingual Internet, where any user can scroll through the global network in his preferred language. The international workgroup employs various technical expertise in order to exercise the complete potential of gTLDs and bring in new innovations in the domain name industry. The team members work together to realize the Internet of the future.

 

By promoting their agenda of multilingual internet, the UASG wishes to promote multilingual domain system and broadcast a more convenient and useful internet creation.

During the meet, UASG Secretary-General Don Hollander updated the participants regarding various activities and achievements since their last meet. The host also opened the discussion on crucial topics like Email Address Internationalization (EAI) and creation of Internationalized domain names (IDN) without ASCII characters. Other points of discussion included future activities, identification and resolution of technical errors along with necessary measures needed to promote the agenda of improved internet.  The discussion was open to all the participants and the hosts actively welcomed critical suggestions and inputs from the audience lot.
