ICANN committee, like every year, hosted its fellowship meet for candidates who joined in the ICANN community at ICANN64 meet, Kobe. The session was hosted by Mr. Siranush who took the opportunity to welcome all the 40 joining candidates from all around the world. He greeted everyone well and also welcomed his global stakeholder engagement team colleagues who joined him in the fellowship meet to welcome the new joiners.
The new joining candidates who were visiting the ICANN meet for the first time were informed about the identification badges and stickers through which they can easily get to know the designated people among the attendants and easily interact with them for enhanced knowledge sharing.
Next up, all the mentors who would later interact with newly joining candidates took to the stage and shared some beginner tips to help the candidates better understand the work culture and other technicalities. They also informed the candidates about the fellowship networking gathering where the joinees can get along with the alumni of the program and learn more about ICANN.
Mr. Jia-Rong, Vice President for engagement in Asia, and managing director for the APAC regional office in Singapore also joined in to welcome all the attendants and briefed them about the step needed to shape the future of Internet’s unique identifier system, followed by the mentors introducing themselves on the stage and wishing the attendants best of luck for their stay.
