If the leaked pictures are to be trusted, then the 5th generation iPad may be slimmer and sport a thinner bezel.
Well, it’s that time of the year again. With WWDC 2013 behind us, the Apple rumour mills will no doubt be on overdrive for the coming weeks. The first leaks churned out? Pictures of the back panels of what are claimed to be the upcoming iPad Mini and the iPad 5 have been leaked online. GforGames, a blog, claimed to get an email containing the pictures of the the back panels of the two unreleased Apple tablets. The blog claimed that the iPad 5’s back panel showed that the tablet would probably have a slimmer profile and also, a thinner bezel.
Rumours regarding the iPad Mini 2 and the 5th generation iPad have been floating around the Web for a while. Back in February, sources told Apple Insider that the next iPad Mini would have a Retina Display with a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels packed into its 7.9-inch display at 324 ppi. The current iPad Mini’s 7.9-inch display has a resolution of 1024×768 pixels with a pixel density of 162 ppi. Similarly, the rumours surrounding the iPad 5 have claimed that the iPad 5 will sport a much slimmer bezel with it being almost non-existent on the left and right sides of the tablet. The tablet will also reportedly be slimmer than the 4th generation iPad and may hit stores in October of this year.
