Incap Corporation, an international contract manufacturer has signed a contract with Kemppi Oy to manufacture their electric welding machines. This is an electronic manufacturing (EMS) initiative which would allow Incap to deliver electronic assemblies to Kemppi’s factory in Chennai. These assemblies will be used in Kemppi’s arc welding equipment.
Incap started functioning in India (near Bangalore), when it took over a contract manufacturing firm in 2007 and presently it has around 350 employees. On the other hand Kemppi started its India operations in 2011 and it is rated as one of the top electric welding manufacturers in the world. In 2014, the company’s revenue was Euro 114 million.
According to Ville Vuori, CEO, Incap, the partnership with Kemppi was a strategic move where both can leverage on each other’s strong points. He said that both the facilities of Incap and Kemppi have been operating excellently and this venture would only help them gain more ground in the Indian electronics manufacturing market.
Janne Karppinen, Sourcing and Logistics Director of Kemppi feel that as demands starts growing in the Asian market, it was an opportune time to engage with a partner who can offer reliable delivery and high-class solutions.
