In order to deal with the hard technology problems that businesses today are facing, Australia’s premier ICT research organization NICTA and business consulting and technology services firm joined hands and signed a collaboration agreement.
A joint statement said that the collaboration would lead to potential outcome and might see ageing technology systems readily modernized for a cloud.
In order to accelerate the definition and solution of business challenges ‘Agile’ techniques may be adopted which previously was used for software development.
N R Narayana Murthy, co-founder and Chairman Emeritus of Infosys said that Innovation across borders was essential to accelerate the pace of world prosperity.
Murthy is holding the membership of NICTA’s International Business Advisory since 2005. He also said that he was expecting the partnership to be a formidable one.
Hugh Durrant-Whyte NICTA CEO, said that the collaboration would provide Infosys with access to NICTA’s world-class researchers and access to real world technology problems along with a path to impact.
According to the statement, the platformisation research included the development of new technologies to harvest software architectures, functions and processes from existing large code based in order to speed up the development of new systems, especially for cloud based platforms.
