Infotech Enterprises announced that it has established a new rolling stock and components (RSC) engineering center for its longstanding partner Alstom Transport in Bangalore, India. On this occasion, Infotech signed a five-year framework agreement with Alstom for continued support by leveraging its provenexpertise and capacity.
Infotech has been Alstom’s local engineering partner for more than eight years. The development of this commitment between Infotech and Alstom is the result of particularly close collaboration between sourcing and engineering teams. “Over a nine-month period, we worked extremely hard at building solid foundations for a sustainable and efficient relationship, taking account of feedback from previous years, Make or Buy,and the RSC Engineering vision,” Philippe Brochard (Alstom Sourcing Transverse Commodities Director) explained.
The new RSC engineering center will cover all the engineering areas, with particular focus on the mechanical section. In three years’ time, 350 people will be providing support for Alstom’s development plan in India, a plan based on quality and the continuous improvement of skills. The new RSC engineering center from Infotech will then be able to provide support for all Alstom Transport sites.
