Innovative Telecom deploys Smarter Cities Solution for Surat City Police Department and Traffic Education Trust Surat to develop safer & secure environs for Surat’s lives, work and visit.
Innovative Telecom & Softwares Pvt. Ltd., Surat delivers successfully India’s first Homeland Security project called “Surat Safe City”. This project is one of its first kinds in India set together with Innovative’s highly skilled technical team using globally prominent technologies and scalable enough to satisfy any level of surveillance requirements. On 18th January 2013, this project was inaugurated by Honorable CM Shri Narendrabhai Modi, and Surat city is benefited with 24×7 Video Surveillance Monitoring enhancing the protection of its population and industrial developments.
For the execution of this project, an open bid invitation to the best of technical expertise of Surat were given out; of which on evaluation of technology know-how and project management capabilities Innovative Telecom was awarded with the project design and execution of safe city project.
This project involves deployment of a State-of-the-art Command & Control Center (CCC) equipped with 280 sq. ft. Video Wall to monitor the real-time stream recordings at various city locations and Datacenter of enough storage capacity which is completely scalable. A wide camera network was created at critical public spots, major traffic junctions and entry-exits of the city. This vigilance network is monitored at CCC located in the heart of the city, at Commissioner of Police Office, Surat. With inclusion of Integrated Physical security Information Management system, this actionable intelligence technology shall generate the city’s 2D mapping reports which will be a facilitating system for mechanized source planning and execution for the Incident management of the city during natural & manmade calamities like fire, flood and also support the Disaster Management and excavation planning of Surat. This proposed solution to secure public and industry from crime and terror was executed as per the stated requirement picking the technologies of Verint System, IBM & Delta.
The task of deploying all the major operating constituents of city’s Command and Control center plan and camera installation was completed in the designated timeframe. This project is protracted to cover almost 5000 locations of the city up to state-wide in future.
