Instagram is reportedly developing a new feature that will enable users to post other users’ profiles as stories on the platform. According to information shared by tipster Alessandro Paluzzi on X (formerly Twitter), this feature will showcase the first three posts from the profile, along with details such as the profile name and bio.
Similar to the existing ‘Add to Story’ option, this feature will allow users to follow the profile directly from the posted story. The addition is seen as a way for users to give shout-outs to their favorite creators and help small content creators increase their reach and visibility on the platform.
With a ‘view profile’ button, users can easily access the shared profile with a simple tap. The feature is expected to be a temporary addition, much like photos and videos posted as ‘Stories,’ disappearing after 24 hours.
While the specific launch date remains unclear as the feature is still in development, it is anticipated to be a valuable tool for content creators, allowing them to promote and share profiles, fostering community engagement.
In recent months, Instagram has been actively introducing new features to enhance user experience. These include options such as downloading reels, an AI-powered custom sticker creator, and more. As the platform evolves, these updates aim to provide users with additional tools and capabilities for creative expression and community building.
