IntelloCut was announced the winner of the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge 2013 city final held at TLabs in Film City, Noida. The winner and two runners-up receive $4,000, $2,000 and $1,000 in cash, respectively, and can claim an exciting array of non-cash prizes including Windows Phones and a BizSpark Plus membership, exclusive connects with venture capitalists, technical assistance, and support for online promotion campaigns, aimed at helping them expand their businesses. While TLabs helps the entrepreneurial community to accelerate entrepreneurship and innovation, the BizSpark program itself supports software startups by giving them access to valuable technology-based benefits.
“The BizSpark India Startup Challenge has continued to grow over the past three years to support fresh ideas and provide world-class technological support, enabling start-ups to have a better chance of business success,” said Rajinish Menon, Director – ISV & Cloud Strategy, Microsoft Corporation India (Pvt) Ltd. “The challenge forms part of Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and driving local innovation, which is a cornerstone of regional economic growth”, he added.
An extremely excited Manasij Ganguli from IntelloCut said, “The Start-up challenge is a great opportunity for participants like us as it provides an amazing array of networks and business advice. The opportunities for startups are far and few in India and this helps us get some attention. We have our fingers crossed for the National finals in Bangalore!” Celebrating entrepreneurial excellence, the Microsoft BizSpark India Startup Challenge 2013 is the event’s biggest edition yet and for the first time has 100 finalists competing in regional events organized across 10 different cities, with a national grand finale in Bangalore. The challenge presents an opportunity for the BizSpark community to build and deepen connections, share ideas and network with partners, while providing a national platform for the individual successes of member start-ups.
