Microsoft has announced the general availability of Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7, providing availability of IE10 to 700M Windows customers worldwide. IE10 available in 95 languages brings new standards support and industry leading performance and security for a more private browsing and amazing web experience. Further, IE10 delivers a 20% increase in real-world site performance over IE9.
In addition, in the coming weeks, users of Windows 7 will be automatically upgraded to IE10, giving the most modern version of IE available for a large worldwide user base on Windows 7. For customers on Windows 7 this is a great step forward because they are getting the same speed and underlying web platform that is shipped on IE10 for Windows 8.
