Intex has launched a new affordable Android smartphone, Intex Aqua Y2 Remote, for Rs 4,390. The smartphone can be used as a universal remote as well. The remote function of Aqua Y2 Remote is compatible with most of the home appliances.
The official press release by Intex states that the universal remote function can be used for TV, AC, Set-top boxes, DVD players, speakers and fans. The phone uses ZaZa remote application for the remote function. Users can pair the products to access remote functionality. The application configures the phone as a remote with synced model.
Intex Aqua Y2 Remote features 10.16-cm (4-inch) WVGA display of 480×800 px. The phone is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core MediaTek MT6572 processor and 512 MB of RAM. Aqua Y2 Remote features 5 MP of primary camera with LED flash and 2 MP of secondary camera for video calling. The device has 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot that supports up to 32 GB. Intex Aqua Y2 Remote is dual SIM smartphone. It features 2 GSM sim card slots.
The device has wide range of connectivity options. Intex Aqua Y2 Remote offers 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, MicroUSB and FM radio. The phone is fueled by 1500mAh li-ion battery that lasts for 8-10 hours on moderate usage. The device weighs only 110 grams. The phone is available in black, white and grey colors.
Intex Aqua Y2 Remote will be available for Rs 4,390. The company had launched another smartphone called, Aqua Star L last week at Rs 6,990. Star Aqua L is available exclusively on Snapdeal.
