Intex has launched two new smartphones in the country. Dubbed Aqua 5.5 VR and Aqua Craze II, the budget smartphones were launched at the ongoing India Gadgetz Expo (IGE) 2016 in Bengaluru.
Both of Intex’s new smartphones have largely identical specifications. These include a 5.5-inch HD display of 720×1280 pixel resolution. The smartphones are powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek processor paired with 1GB of RAM. There’s 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards. Connectivity options include 4G, LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
The only difference between the two devices is of the battery capacity. The Aqua 5.5 VR is backed by a 2,800mAh battery and is priced at Rs 5,099. On the other hand, Aqua Craze II comes with a price tag of Rs 5,990 and packs a 2,500mAh battery.
Intex Aqua 5.5 VR comes pre-loaded with 3D content and also has an LED flash at the front. Both phones come with Intex LFTY that aims at providing a seamless cohesive mix of multi-category content. The phones have Matrabhasha support in over 21 languages and come with VAS benefits worth Rs 2,849.
The Aqua 5.5 VR will be available exclusively from Flipkart starting October 19, while Intex Aqua Craze II will be available through retail channels.
Recently, Intex launched its Aqua S2 smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 4,990, it’s the cheapest smartphone with a fingerprint sensor.
Intex Aqua S2 features a 5-inch display of 480×854 pixel resolution. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it is powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor. There’s 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD cards.
The dual-SIM capable Aqua S2 has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, as well as a 5MP front camera for selfies. It is backed by a 2,450mAh battery and offers 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS as connectivity options.
