Intex has expanded its Aqua series. The company has launched the 
Intex Aqua Classic 2 at a price of Rs 4,600. The smartphone is available in Champagne colour across all the leading retail stores in the country.
Successor of the earlier launched Intex Aqua Classic, the smartphone flaunts a sleek design and rounded edges. The power button and volume rockers are placed on the right side of the handset.
Aqua Classic 2 sports a 5-inch FWVGA display with 480×854 pixel resolution display. The smartphone’s display is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. The handset runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box has is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2Ghz.
The new Intex smartphone offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, users can further expand the storage to up to 32GB by installing a microSD card. The dual-SIM device features a 5MP rear camera with auto-focus and dual-LED flash. There is also a 5MP front camera for video calling and selfies.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. It houses a 2,200 mAh battery which claims to offer 6 hours of talktime and up to 200 hours of standby time.
Last month, Intex launched the cheapest 4G VoLTE smartphone Aqua E4 at Rs 3,333. As per Intex, it is the cheapest 4G VoLTE smartphone to be launched in the country with a built-in SOS feature. As the name suggests, the SOS feature will enable users to send alerts to pre-selected contacts in case of an emergency. All they would need to do to trigger an alert message is long press the volume rockers.
In terms of specifications, Intex Aqua E4 features a 4-inch TFT display and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The device is powered by a 1GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. It offers 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB by installing a microSD card.
The handset sports a 2MP rear camera with dual-LED flash and a 2MP front camera for selfies. On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The dual-SIM device is backed by an 1,800mAh battery.
