intex new logoIntex Technologies one of the leading Smartphone brand has benchmarked phenomenal growth over the last quarter of 2014. With many activities planned for the next fiscal year, the brand today announced its retail wing expansion for 2015 with exclusive brand stores.

Assuring inauguration of 400 stores in different parts of India, the exclusive stores called, ‘Intex Smart World’ will feature Intex’s wide range of mobile phones, speakers, IT accessories and televisions. The brand will leverage the exclusive outlets as the single touch- point for customers and will be a mix of company-owned and franchised outlets. They will also act as reference points for its service centres in case of advanced help.

Elated about the expansion, Mr. Vishal Malik, DGM, Retail Business, Intex Technologies said, “It’s a right time for us to expand distribution strength in branded retail segment and provide a platform to consumer’s personal training & Information which leads to optimise the experience of Intex wide range of products for its customer. ‘’

We are going to spend around Rs. 100 crores in Fy 15-16 to boost our retail presence in India. We will start with metros and then move to other cities. The idea is to focus on product experience that will help the customer make his choice. Of the ₹6,000 crore target turnover for FY-16, five per cent or ₹300-odd crore is expected to come from brand stores.

Creating a first in India, Intex Smart world will provide a two-level consumer experience in its stores – one large area focused on product display, and other area devoted to providing after sales & virtual experience ( tutorials, support & Digital displays Etc). This will be a difference as personal electronics retailing in India.

This expansion will support the organization to interact with their consumers closely as the staff at the brand stores will be trained specially to understand the consumer needs. The Company-owned outlets will are expected to be between 700 and 1,200 sq ft, while the franchises will be smaller with a size of 500 sq ft.

At present, Intex Technologies have been sourcing their sale through a distribution network comprising 1100+ distributors and 80,000+ dealers spread across the country. Its products are also available at more than 250 dedicated counters of reputed chains of hyper markets and specialty stores across the country, on TV shopping channels and e-commerce sites.
