Have you been facing problems with your Apple iPhone 5 battery life? Go for the replacement and stop charging frequently.
iPhone 5 users will be allowed to replace the battery soon, and that too for free, Apple has announced. Select units of iPhone 5 will come under this scheme, though. Apple said that some iPhone 5 units are suffering from shorter battery life. The affected iPhone devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013.
The announcement on the website said, “Apple has determined that a very small percentage of iPhone 5 devices may unexpectedly experience shorter battery life or need to be charged more frequently.” Find out if your phone also needs a battery replacement here .
If your device needs the replacement, then as Apple has advised, take back-up of all your phone data, turn off ‘Find My iPhone’, and erase their data and settings. Follow the step thus: Settings menu >> General >> Reset >> Erase all Content and Settings. The decision has been taken when Apple is going to announce two new iPhones on 9 September.
